Warning
03:20
|
|||
“you don't want to see me as a warning for
what's about to go down and what's still in store.
forgive me for scaring you to solitude.
you were supposed to unite, leaving here for good.
could've been halfway there, but you continue
overstaying welcomes, leaving overdue.
(instead, you fought.
squeezing what's not
yours til it popped.
see what you got?)
if you would've listened, you'd be on your way,
but unfortunately, you all chose to stay,
so here's what's next:
i'm a friendly fire you shouldn't have put out.
there are many more all with far less grace than I.
each one of us leave far fewer than the last.
if you can't abide, no humanity survives.”

This Is Gone
04:20
|
|||
what's left of what we all knew?
how can we listen to the news?
…starring: "The End Of Everything:
This Is Gone, That Is Out,
This Is All The Time We Have Left"
without shutting down,
staying dead, closing in,
while everything looks just fine?
if everything is wrong,
then nothing can be right.
please feel free to prosper
with what has come to light.
soon there will be nothing
to fear losing again.
where can we go from here?
when will we go from now?
back to when we loved, back to when we died.
back to when we made this mess we’re in.

The Bitter Truth
03:28
|
|||
what a tragedy to lose the
final tether to before the lie.
where's the comedy in feeling
we belong yet never reach the sky?
who believes we're bickering to
stay apart and remain here to die?
when the writing on the wall is
out in space, we'll never forget why.
how below before we go to
other places we might not survive?
spread the seed of life to show a
whole new world just how to be alive.
overstay another welcome
and we cannot continue to thrive.
look beyond the edge of galaxies
before we take another dive.
when can we go, by tomorrow,
when we have no home, of our own?

Memoir Again
03:33
|
|||
Such long
memories,
deep &
buried…
with everything they meant to me,
now it’s time to sleep.
long forgotten (if they stay, deep within).
in case remembering pulls up anything,
let’s hope it’s warm, comforting, & fleeting.
…or else, time dies.
past binds now’s mind.
present absence,
future hears the now.
memoir again…
back from the dead.
try to forget
the pain that’s left.
